Remembering Eloise Peck and Lila Bonner: Two Bright Lights Gone Too Soon

Eloise Peck’s mother wants the world to know just how deeply her daughter was loved.

“Eloise was literally friends with everyone,” she shared with reporter Steve Noviello. “She loved spaghetti, but not more than she loved dogs and animals. She had a family who loved her fiercely for the 8 years we were blessed to have her. Especially her Mommy.”

Eloise was one of the young lives tragically lost in the recent flash flooding at Camp Mystic in Texas. She died alongside her best friend and cabinmate, Lila Bonner. The two were inseparable — sharing laughs, late-night whispers, and the joy of summer camp together.

A heartbreaking photo shows them beaming with happiness, unaware of the tragedy that would cut their lives short.

Rest easy, sweet girls. Your joy, your love, and your friendship will never be forgotten. 💔💔
