Two Tragedies, One Message of Hope

Three of the four hospitalized have been released, while the fourth, Dinh Thi Nam Phuong, remains in recovery after surgery—her family racing to join her.
Meanwhile, in British Columbia, a catastrophic mudslide triggered by record floods claimed at least four lives, with one person still missing. Families and entire communities are left mourning in the wake of nature’s fury.
Though separate, both tragedies echo the same truth: life is fragile, but compassion is powerful. From doctors and diplomats in Seattle to rescue crews in B.C., people stepped forward to help. In grief, solidarity became the light that carried survivors and families through.
