A Chance Encounter That Changed Everything
One quiet Saturday, my 6-year-old daughter Leni and I were walking home from the library. She was happily carrying her books and a balloon animal from story time.
As we strolled through our peaceful neighborhood, a group of bikers suddenly pulled up beside us. I was nervous—until one knelt down, complimented Leni, and handed her a sticker. She lit up with joy.
Then, one of them looked at me and said, almost in a whisper, “She’s special. She sees things others don’t.”
I stood frozen. How could they know? No one knew about Leni’s vivid dreams, her strange drawings, or how she once described a family heirloom she’d never seen.
Before I could say a word, they rode off.
I still don’t know who they were—but that moment made me see my daughter in a whole new light.
