Obama Family’s Sad

Obama Family Mourns the Loss of Marian Robinson

Marian Robinson, beloved mother of Michelle Obama and grandmother to Malia and Sasha, has passed away peacefully at age 86. A woman of quiet strength and deep grace, she was a constant in the Obama family’s life — even moving into the White House to help raise her granddaughters during Barack Obama’s presidency.

Born and raised on Chicago’s South Side, Marian was a pillar of love, wisdom, and humility. Michelle called her “my rock,” while President Obama, seen tearfully honoring her legacy, praised her as a grounding force in their lives.

Though she avoided the spotlight, her impact was immeasurable. Marian Robinson will be remembered not just as a devoted mother and grandmother, but as a symbol of dignity, resilience, and unconditional love.
