I Think There’s Someone Under My Bed

As a kid, the idea of something hiding under my bed terrified me. Every creak, every shadow, every gust of wind felt like a warning. I used to tell myself it was just childhood fears — nothing more.

But last night, that fear returned.

Right after I turned off the lights and settled in, I heard it — a faint rustling, like fabric brushing against the floor. I froze. Then I heard it again, clearer this time, as if something was there. Under me.

My heart pounded. I wanted to jump up and turn on the lights… but what if something was actually down there?

Eventually, I grabbed my phone and turned on the flashlight. Slowly, I leaned over the edge and looked.

Nothing. Just dust and an old sock.

Still, that uneasy feeling hasn’t left me. I keep wondering — was it just my imagination… or did something move before I looked?
