1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has shocked fans with her dramatic weight loss transformation, revealing her progress in a powerful TikTok post and confidently declaring, “I understood the assignment.”

Once weighing 725 pounds, Tammy struggled with mobility and relied on oxygen to breathe. After years of setbacks, she was finally approved for bariatric surgery in 2022 — a milestone she called “overwhelming and emotional.” She lost over 500 pounds and later underwent skin removal surgery in early 2025, shedding an additional 15 pounds of excess skin from her chin, arms, and stomach.

During her recovery journey, Tammy also found love. She married fellow rehab patient Caleb Willingham in November 2022. Sadly, Caleb passed away in July 2023 from complications related to obesity. “He was my best friend and guardian angel,” Tammy shared.

Now reportedly in a new relationship, Tammy continues to inspire. Her recent photos show a confident, vibrant woman in sleek shapewear, standing tall — a far cry from the bedridden life she once led.

Her sister Misty put it best: “She’s lost 500 pounds — that’s not just one person, that’s a couple of people! I’m so proud of her.”
